No, I am not thankful my friend KS moved away, but I am thankful I got to know her before she did and that we make an effort to keep in touch.
Have you ever met someone and became instant friends? Where you feel like you have known them forever in just one evening’s meeting? That is how it is for KS and me. Instant Forever Friends — IFFs. 😉
I miss my sweet friend every day. No, we didn’t get to see each other daily or every week before she left, but she was always around the corner and we COULD see each other as often as our schedules allowed. We email or use social media to keep in touch now. A call here and there. No matter how far apart we are, or how long we go between talking, I know we are bonded for life.
I miss her desperately and I am pretty sure she feels the same. When I win the lottery, life will be different, for all of us.
We have a lot in common, and then so many differences. That makes life interesting and brings people together.
— We are both moms. She is a mom of 4 girls with 2 legs. I am a mom of 2 girls with 4 legs.
— We both love our husbands to the end of the Universe and back.
— We live on opposite coasts now… though we are both hoping that will change soon.
— We both LOVE to scrapbook, but we don’t get time (make the time) to do it nearly enough. That is the hobby that brought us together. Oh… the memories in AM’s garage and in my dining room.
— We love quirky T-shirts
— We give the best hugs (and we can’t wait to give each other one again)
— We both laugh loudly and often
— We have a sense of humor that we get, that sometimes others don’t
— We both have a desire to teach, but she’s the one finishing her degree to do it
I could go on and on and on… but I don’t need to. She knows I love her no matter what I write, where she is, far apart we are, or how long we will go between physical hugs.
I am thankful for my friend, KS.
